A recipe for all occasions...

I'm all for simplicity when cooking. I have entertained friends and relatives, and ended up spending my entire evening chained to the kitchen when it should've been an enjoyable evening all around. I don't see the point in that at all. The food that i cook and eat has to be good quality, easy and quick to prepare and most of all taste gorgeous!

So i'll be posting tried-and-tested recipes on this site, which fulfill all of the above categories. Where possible, try to use organic produce, as the taste is so much better (and healthier). For meat, i advise the use of free-range, local produce. It may cost more, but it's not only better for you, but it's better for the animals, too.

There will be a side-bar any minute which has a heading for recipes, feel free to peruse them at any time!

An Introduction to Vintage Pretty

Just a quick post to introduce VintagePretty to the world wide web! The aim of this website is to chronicle my passion, which is to live the vintage way. This doesn't mean in any way going back to the 1950's way and submitting to men - far from it. I believe we are the 4th-wave Feminists, taking back what we do, and do better than anyone else: being women!
Living as we do today, with 101 things on our plates - from families, children, housework, jobs etc, we have forgotten the most important things. Happiness, love, kindness, friendliness.

I am 19, and living with my fiancé in Newcastle, England. We are just about to move into our new house. Which heralds a new exciting time in my life. On this blog I'll be posting about all of my experiences in the new place, posting interesting thoughts, recipes, and handy hints to make your home a lovely (and loving) sweet-smelling haven to escape to, when you need to relax.
My Photo
Name:
Location: United Kingdom

An avid tea-drinker who likes Nutmeg in her coffee and warm lavender-scented quilts. She knits, crochets and partakes in random acts of craftiness (and kindness). She can often be found outside, in the garden with her faithful doggy companion, and a cup of tea. Reading is a pasttime that she enjoys muchly, so too is moving furniture around. She writes haiku about nettles, would like to swim with seals and become completely self-sufficient.
